This new elegant coffee is from the highlands of Ethiopia. Named from its region, Yirgacheffe (yir ga chef fay), this coffee is medium bodied, complex and naturally sweet with a dry finish.
Peaberry refers to a type of bean that is a small peashaped version of a coffee bean. Usually more intense in flavor. The Tanzania peaberry is notable for a distinct dark chocolate aftertaste sporting a touch of vanilla for the sweet finish.
This is a very clean smooth textured coffee, with medium bodied, a complex sweetness and very nice fruit & berry notes. Much cleaner than this year’s crop of Kenyans, and very similar to a typical Kenyan profile.
